New forklift trucks class with XD power.

The new XD/G 15-20 combustion forklift trucks series from OM is a real evolution in comfort, productivity, performance, operating costs and pollution levels.

The Design of all forktlift trucks of the X-series from OM is created from the wellknown design studio DESIGNZAGATO in Milan. For Designer Andrea Zagato "the aesthetic looking can be a weapon to win the competition". He also considers "every industrial machines like an extension of the human body" therefore for him "consequently ergonomics is the key point for a good product."

In this connection the operator’s place was completely re-designed to grant the user optimum comfort: with the F.S.C. – Full Suspended Cab system it is fully suspended on rubber silentblocks to absorb vibrations, as standard the pedals layout has the forward/reverse selection, a manual reverse selection is available as option, the easy to use inching/brake function is integrated in a large pedal and can be activated both with left and right foot. The hydrodynamic transmission, perfectly tuned, allows the best precision and smoothness in handling activities. All driving commands like, inching/braking pedal and hydrostatic steering are servo assisted and provide steering with an effort required lower than 0.5 Kg. The standard Grammer MSG 20 seat absorbs any vibration for the comfort of the operator. As option the armrest equipped extra comfort seat MSG 65 by Grammer can be installed. The accurate acoustic insulation system keeps the noise level low.

The new powerful Yanmar Diesel engine, 2.7 liters of displacement is compliant to Stage IIIa requirements of Directive 97/68/CE. The LPG version is powered by the Nissan K21 engine with a displacement of 2.5 liters. Both engines are industrial type and specifically designed for forklift trucks applications. The engines are characterised by powerful performance and increased torque, working environmentally friendly with the lowest fuel consumption of this class. The new XD/G 15-20 range is covered by the OM INTRINSIC SAFETY PROGRAM dedicated to enforce the highest level of safety in any working condition. The OM ISP of the XD/G 15-20 includes the Mast Safety System locking the mast function when the operator is not seated. Simplex, duplex and triplex masts with heights up to 6900 mm are available. For individual configurations a manual forward / reverse switch, sideshifter, ergonomic seats, lighting system, different wheels, sooth filter, catalysts and closed cabs are available. OM offers a powerful range of XD internal combustion forklift trucks with load capacities from 1.5 to 10.0 tons.
